Technical Project Lead , Assistant Vice President
Who we are looking for
The GM/ Data Function IT ESP team is currently seeking a senior technical lead to work in a fast pace, technology driven, customer service oriented group. The individual will work under minimal supervision, analyze, design, debug, develop and unit test, medium to large scale software enhancements and solutions as part of GM/ Data's IT division and technical problem domain. Will support a custom ETL/ ELT and Big Data platform under multiple domains and will be working for the GM/ Data team in the United States.
What you will be responsible for
As Assistant Vice President you will
• Provide thought leadership in the design of back-end and front-end functionality, operational workflow, and business solution to complex Business problems
• Collaborate with Business Analysts, QA team and Product owners to turn moderately complex business requirements into working and sustainable software solution to business
• Contribute to written design, development and documentation of application functionality around vendor product and State Street's own custom code.
• Participate in Business Analysis, functional/technical spec. reviews, code reviews, review of automation/SQA tests to ensure a high quality end product,
• Participate in change management and deployment process and production implementation of large scale upgrades and changes
• Test, debug, and implement custom ETL/ ELT ESP platform, and a myriad of tenants within and understand the interdependencies across all these tenants. This involves understanding the technology stack of the existing platform which uses Unix, Java, Python, J2EE technologies, Tomcat, webservices, distributed computing, shell scripting, autosys and other related software engineering languages and tools
• Provide expert level troubleshooting on large, mission critical system upgrades and client/regulatory specific implementations and cross-team/cross-product functionality
• Help conduct manual/automated unit tests and system integration testing with various downstream and upstream systems to ensure a high quality end product
• Help maintain a stable, error/incident free Production and test environments for users across diff regions- NA and EMEA, ensure SLAs are upheld and various feeds to upstream and downstream systems are maintained
• Actively participate and assist in improving development and test methodologies and contribute to related usage of tools such as Github, Jira, Agile methodology and cloud development frameworks including continuous development and integration.
• Contribute to the move of the current technology on to the public cloud environment using various tools in play at the corporate level.

Education & Preferred Qualifications
• Minimum bachelor's degree required.
• 10+ years of experience in Java-J2E, Web services, Oracle DB and ETL tools is a must.
• Experience in multi-layer microservices and big data platform is required
• Implementation and development experience of J2E applications on multi-users systems.
• Good understanding of design patterns and architecture along with exposure in MQ & messaging a plus.
• Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to be open to discussion of potential options
• Should be good team player and have excellent communication skills.
• Should have experience in debugging and resolving production issues by supporting business and development teams
• Demonstrates solid knowledge of the overall software development life cycle including development, testing and deployment of all application modules.
Additional requirements
• 5+ years of experience in Fin-Tech / Banking domain.

Salary Range:
$100,000 - $160,000 Annual
